About this project
I pitched this story as a way to help people understand which items are under new tariffs and how that might impact their wallets, but when matching the trade codes with the Census Bureau's historic trade data, it became clear that these tariffs weren't actually going to threaten affordability in the U.S., if they even brought in any money at all.
